The MCP server
Your download ships a server that answers questions about this exact version, over stdio, with no key and no network.
Why it exists
An agent that cannot see your components guesses at them, and a guess that compiles is worse than one that does not. The server lets an assistant ask directly: which family answers this requirement, what does it take, which page pattern should this screen start from.
It answers for the version you downloaded, which is the part a public model cannot do.

.mcp.json ships at the project root carrying exactly that block, so a client that reads it needs no setup. The commands are for a client that does not, and for a project you are bringing the theme into.Seventeen tools, in three groups

It runs offline
Over stdio, with no API key and no network call. Nothing about your source leaves your machine, which matters for the obvious reason: the server reads your project.
When it did not work
The server connects and answers nothing
Cause: you pointed the client at agent/mcp/mcp.mjs. That file is the server library and it exports its entry point without calling it, so the process starts, registers nothing and does not exit. Fix: point at server.mjs, which is the two-line file that calls it. Verify: the client lists seventeen tools.
The client does not see it at all
Cause: the working directory. The path in .mcp.json is relative to the project root. Fix: start the client there, or make the path absolute.
